Since the taking down of the "Iron Curtain" in Eastern Europe during 1992, many Christian and humanitarian organizations have offered their development aid for the rebuilding in the specific countries of former Soviet Union.
Unfortunately, due to different expectations, as well as the bitter reality, ideas could not be formed into one convention.
In many cases, the offered practical help was looked upon as manipulative and the financial support as not enough to help.
There is a lot of poverty in former Soviet Union, although in the Republic of Moldova the situation is the severest. At this moment, The Republic of Moldova is the country in Central Europe that is know as the poorest.
After the tragedy in the Soviet Union occurred in 1992 Soviet Union, the Republic of Moldova fell into a huge financial crisis. The inflation is enormous and therefore the Republic of Moldova has also been hit by the enormous crises. Approximately 80% of the inhabitants are living under the society status of poverty.
